KOTTKE
I'm having one heck of a time this year with the deer. I have access to 4 great woods near Chaska, Carver and Cologne, but am not seeing the deer this year. two of these woods are in the new 601. I put over 30 hrs in the stand the week befor the start of gun season and saw 3 deer. Anyone else having tough luck or have I upset the deer gods??? jeff127
I have 2 spots in roughly the same areas and the problem I am having is people are feeding the deer on neighboring properties which has completely screwed up their patterns. It really is noticable ounce the browse has started to diminish and the crops go down. The deer sightings really taper off to nill once gun season hits and it gets frustrating. They do start to come back during muzzleloader season though. I feel your pain Jeff

KOTTKE
This is all private land that I am on. Today a new problem, got on stand by 6:15 and at 6:45 a truck comes and drives down the neighbors field line, very slowly, he must have driven a quarter mile and turns around and goes right back. Now he can see me clear as day in my orange clothes. Clearly he trying to deter the my hunting efforts. If its not one thing it seems to be another. Muthagoose
Used to see a major increase in site population when I worked for Marsh lake gun club south of Victoria. Made for excellent hunting knowing all the local feed fields are down and most of the "open hunting" was trampled/ The only local competition was the tree huggers feeding all winter..///..
