MIKE IN lINO III
I'm thinking of purchasing a Sauna for my wife as a X-mas present. I am looking at a 3-4 person outdoor Sauna. If it is light enough I would like to put it on my deck next to the hot tub. Does anyone have any experience with purchasing a Sauna???Thanks, Mike

colonel42
I built one last year. If you get to the Range at all check out floor and ceiling in Virginia. I accually bought all my material from John at Latvala's in Nashwalk. Check them out too.

colonel42
Don't have any pictures. I built mine with no plan. I looked for heaters online and was really surprised at the cost. Huge money!!! Just for giggle I gave John a call and they sell a heater that is accually made in Ham Lake MN. All stainless steal. My sauna is 7" long 5 foot wide with a 7 foot ceiling. The stove I have cost me $450.00. When you look for heaters most now come with the controls attached to the stove. After some research I found a lot of people that were not happy with that type. I wanted the control unit attached to the outside of the sauna. I can fire mine up and in 20 minutes the temp is about 170 degrees. In fact with the temps in the single numbers today I think I'll be firing mine when I get home from work. By the way if you were to give F & C a call I'm sure they can hook you up with a HSOforum of the brand they sell. They are nice but your going to end up spending about $5 grand. Build it yourself and insulate the heck out of it and it will be much cheaper and better build.
