Used archery stuff?

I want to buy some used stuff; old long bow, maybe a few arrows, arm guard etc. Can someone tell me if there is a shop in MSP or Fargo that would have used stuff. I'm not talking top dollar stuff here fellas, less than $100 bucks for all of it. Just want to fool around a bit, shooting milk jugs etc. Would really like an old wooden longbow etc. Don't really trust what I might find on the big internet auction market.

My suggestion is to look around at estate sales, rummage sales, and classified ads. Last summer, I found a nice lemonwood longbow for $1, a Ben Pearson Mustang recurve for $5, and another as yet unidentified recurve for $10. They all shoot great. I build my own arrows, which isn't as cheap as one would think.

Another option is to build a longbow. I've done a half dozen. I'm no expert, but it's not as tough as it seems at first.

There's a place called B&B Supply in South Minneapolis. He has a bunch of traditional archery stuff.

Good luck. Hunting for a cheap bow requires some luck, but it's more just about keeping your eyes open and always looking.

And yes, you're probably right in keeping away from the auction giant.
