How many of you.......

fantasy football players auction off your team when you are having a terrible season? I am 1-8-1 in one of my 3 leagues and everyone wants McGahee, Gonzalez and Hasselbeck. I'm not willing to trade because that's not who I am, but how many of you would trade? I have to mention that the guy leading is a pain in the butt, and the buy-in is $200, so I don't want to see him win. grin.gif

As long as you were getting fair value in return and not making lop sided trades to the other owners I would have no problem with you making those trades if I was in your league. I've always been of the opinion that good teams have every right to get better as well. If the upper guys have good depth at one particular position and want to trade away that depth to make up for weaknesses in other positions to get ready for the playoff run then more power to them.

Just my .02 worth.

Yeah, it's getting to that time of the year when trade deadlines loom. I'm in 3 leagues, on pace for gold, silver, and bronze in each of them right now, and I'm looking to do what Down to Earth described. I'm weak at WR in my first place league with L. Coles and D. Mason, but am strong at RB with M. Lynch, J. Addai, and C. Portis. I could deal one RB that I can't play each week anyways for a better WR.

We'll see how it goes. I offered Portis for Colston but the Colston owner knows the Saints are heating up....

I agree in both of the scenarios, but I was wondering how many people have a complete "yardsale" of sorts (ie. Portis for Betts, or Hasselbeck for Kelly Holcombe). I'm all for a beneficial trade for both parties, but I hate to see good players leave a losing team in a lopsided trade.

True. That's why leagues need good commissioners or voting on all trades.

Even worse is when somebody just drops everybody and then its a waiver wire fire sale.

FFB should bring managers of the same skill level or experience to prevent those things from happening. Or just play for money so people actually care what they do (Gambling ruins families and in no way do I condone it grin.gif)

in our league we have 3 guys that overview any rules/trades. I am one of those lucky guys and have had to nix trades and call out an infraction last year that cost a guy the championship and $800 dollars..... tongue.gif

That was another reason for posting this. We also have a commitee to review trades that involve the commish. I was involved in a trade with the commish about a month ago where I traded Boldin for De Shaun Foster and Phillip Rivers. I had no back-up QB (for Hasselbeck) and my running backs were not living up to expectations (McGahee and Jones-Drew). I was deep at WR and in a league where WR get a lot of points, if you have 3 starters, you're pretty much set. So, the "commitee" (which consisted of the 2nd place team and I was trading with the 1st place commish) decided it was unfair and that there was some collusion involved. It ended up going to the league as a vote and was ultimatley allowed. So far that trade has not made a difference for either team. I guess it's not as easy when money is involved......although I don't condone gambling grin.gif

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
