36" Thorne Bros sweethearts

I'm thinking of picking up some longer Thorne Bros. sweetheart ice rods. What sort of case could be used for a set of 36" rods? The Lakewood and Stone Legacy cases I imagine would be a hair too short.

If I were to have them made a bit shorter, would a 35" rod fit in a Stone Legacy case?

Otter makes a dandy hard case that they'd fit in.

I have a 32" sweetheart that fits in my Revolution.. but I doubt the 36 would...

Thorne Bros is actually coming out with a custom case that will fit rods up to 42-inches, possibly even 45-inches. We should have them sometime this month...

The 36-inch rods are awesome! I built a 36-inch Perch Sweetheart and a 36-inch Panfish Sweetheart. Can't wait to use them this winter...

I have the Otter rod box and it is great. Its a bit overkill, but I know that I can practically run over the box and it will be fine. It fits my Thorne Bros 42" hvy stick that I use for pike and lakers.

I'll get a couple pics up soon. I've been building them with a 6-inch tennessee handle, seems to work best for me, but you can build them with whatever handle you would like...

The Ready Rig, Ice Pro Plus is 38 inches, and has side pockets for some additional gear. I use it for my 36" Genz Lightning Rod Med Heavies with the casting reels. It takes 2 casting combos or 3 spinning set ups.

I have a few of their 42"s and a 45" and I use a hard gun case for them. Padded inside and it is rigid enough to take a beating. Also fits a tackle box or 2 and will lock.
