I would get a switch and matching key from a salvage yard.

On older sled like that, often times if you just pull one wire off the switch, it will open up the ground circuit and the sled will start.

As others mentioned, you should be able to unplug it and fire up the sled. You might not have working lights and gauges though, can't remember when Doo switched that. I have removed several keys by using a screw driver to turn the ign switch to the off position, then spray some WD-40 or other lubricant in the slot and use a pick to grab the key and remove it.
