Park Rapids Grouse?

Any one been getting any grouse lately near park rapids,heading up this week. Thanks

Hunted the Paul Bunyan state forest this weekend. Got 3 and seen about 25. Most got up out of range.

I've been hunting the Park Rapids area pretty heavy on my way to and from work. Bird numbers are okay, and I've been having some good days. Birds are coveyed up around the area it seems. Morning and afternoon have been better for me, with a few singles mixed in toward evening.

Their diet is switching right now, as they're moving away from clover and snowberries and more into catkins and rosehips, as well as some of the hazelnuts left on trail and woods edges...
