Best part of that game: no turnovers. If they can take that stat to Ames with them, everything should be okay. Even if Lee starts. Just hand it to Rex and Roy, and let it happen. The O-Line and tight ends looked awesome on Saturday.

Now that was ugly. I think Bo needs to call the Big 12 out on the Refs and make a point. Seems the sideline "talks" do no good. You'd think after fighting the refs for this many games, the NCAA would take some action. I know someone watches these games from the upper echelon. PLEASE!!!

I just have to shake my head after that one. The Huskers certainly didn't help their own cause. Several false starts, illegal formations, that sort of thing, which was squarely on NU. In a game like that, it takes its toll. I don't like to bag on the officials (well, maybe a little), because a team should play well enough that the officials aren't a factor.

But Courtney Osborne made a perfectly legal, textbook hit on a QB as he was releasing the ball. That was not a late hit. That was not worthy of a personal foul. It just makes me mad. And I saw plenty of stuff from A&M that should have been called. As an official, if you let one team get away with it, you should let the other team get away with the same stuff. But they didn't keep it even. The Ben Cotton personal foul was awful. There is a video out there that shows what was going on... I'd kick, too.

I'm disgusted. Disgusted by the play of the Huskers, Martinez's re-injury, Bo's temper, the horrible officiating, the offense not being able to do anything all game without getting a penalty for something or other, the whole state of Texas... everything. I'm in a pretty bad mood this morning.

Those huckin' fuskers...

Stoney, South Sioux City. Grew up in Iowa, transplanted here.

HuskerBen, that was a tough game but you hit it on the head...a team of that caliber needs to play through all that and on a negative side note, a team of that caliber should have a more capable 2nd string qb. I thought he would have more impact because he looked great his first season. Oh well, 9-2...it could be worse. Hopefully they take it out on the Buffs and make it to the championship game after all. Oklahoma State looks pretty awesome right now, I don't know if playing them 2 times in a season is a good thing.

Don't know if the big 12 will let them win on Friday. I'm thinkin' they will do everything in their power to have Mizzou play that championship game. Still think they should use Burkehead as backup. But Shawn Watson is still part of the Callahan crew and not so bright.

Hey Prov- I grew up in South Sioux. Moved up here about ten years ago.

I'm not buying into the conspiracy theory just yet. I mean, if the Huskers played lights out and still got beat on a bunch of questionable calls, then I'd start writing letters to the NCAA. And if this stuff happens again vs Colorado, I'll buy in. I think it's that particular officiating crew, and they just aren't that competent. And Pelini screaming in their ear on every false start doesn't help the situation. Maybe they have some bias, but there's not much that can be done now. The game shouldn't hinge on one bad call, and it's up to the Huskers to make sure that it would take more than one bad call to beat them. It's bull, but it is what it is.

Oh, well.

Here's to eating buffalo steaks on Friday, going to Dallas in December, and finding someplace nice and warm for the first week of January. Go Big Red!

At least Colorado is leaving the conference too so that is going for the Huskers this Friday. Wouldn't mind seeing NU run the ball at a 3 to 1 ratio since there are still two healthy RB's. I know Colorado hasn't won a Big 12 road game for ages, but how is the line 17.5!

Based on NU past history, if they would have won the game against A&M, Colorado would be a huge concern, but I would imagine any frustrations from last week will be taken out on the Buffs.

On a side note, considering NU is in a rebuilding phase (and quite successfully at that...) I hope they aren't too disappointed in how the Big 10 treats them. KSU, KU, ISU, and CU don't quite compare to Northwestern, Illinois, Minnesota, and Purdue (the similar bottom four of the conference)...let alone Penn State, Michigan, OSU, MSU, Iowa, etc. Regardless, it will be interesting, very, very interesting.

With any luck we'll have a new offensive coordinator. Hopefully Watson will get the Colorado job and give Bo a chance to hire a new OC. Just a change up in the play calling would be a step up. I stand behind Bo on Saturday's rants. Glad we finally have a coach that will stand up for his beliefs and behind his players.

Alright boys, planning the tailgate menu for Saturday. Can't believe I am driving to Dallas, but 70 degrees there will be a nice break from the hurricane outside here now. Any ideas for a good tailgate? Thinking of filet mignons and bacon wrapped shrimp. Gotta live it up for the occasion. I will take pics of the tailgate at least and post them here.

You should make a sign that says "We'll Miss You, Big 8," and throw oranges on the field at the end of the game.

Tailgate food... Hmm... you could stop in Lincoln and get a couple pizzas from Valentino's, and a whole bunch of Runzas.

Have fun in Dallas, man. That should be awesome. Go Big Red!
