Trailering in Winter

I was wondering what you guys do in the winter from having the salt eat away at your fourwheelers while trailering. Do you just try to wash them every trip, use a trailering cover, salt sheilds on the trailer?

i'd say covering them is probably the best thing to do... i dont have a cover for my wheeler but covers are what works best for our snowmobiles.

An enclosed trailer works the best. You can store all your stuff in there on your trip also. Mine also serves as a mobile storage/garage when I am not using it as a trailer.

i bought a piece of tin and got some square steel, heated it up and bent it to a 45 degree angle and mounted on the front of my trailer.

I've never had an issue. my trailer has 10" sides on it, not sure if that acts like a splash guard or not, but I try and keep mine clean, so it gets washed a couple times per winter.
