will a vexilar interfer with a marcum or vice versa???

Me being the compulsive shopper that i am went and bought a marcum on HSOList and I was intending to let my girlfriend use my fl 8 while I used the marcum, went into work bragging about my new cheap HSOList purchase and my co-worker says "dont you already have the vexilar" and i told him i wanted to upgrade and let the girlfriend use the vex. then he told me he had been fishing with his vex. and his brother in law was using the marcum and he had problems with interferance, someone please tell me this is not true if so my girlfriend might get a new marcum thanks BT

My wife and I have minimal interference when using the my LX5 with her FL8. It took her years to use a flasher while ice fishing. Now she really enjoys using one rather than just sitting back and reading a book waiting for her bobber to go down.

Just play with the Marcum IR until you find the right frequency.

I have lx-5 and buddies have fl8 and fl20. We all get some lite interference, but usually can wipe it out with IR. The fl-8 can work in the same house, dont' worry. I will also say that we are in only 6x9 house, so fairly close.

You'll have no problem with just two units. I have fished in a fishhouse with 3 units and while it is tricky to get everyone satified with the right combination you can usually get everyone satisfied.

It will depend some on water depth and bottom content.. the harder the bottom, the more problems you "may" have. But like most have stated, you should be fine... Which MarCum did you get?

A lot of things can cause interference...I've even got snowmobile vibrations doin that to me or just the ice expanding. Sometimes my buddy has to let me know on his FL8, so I can use a different setting on my LX5.

We use both a MArcum and Vexilar in the same portable, it takes a minute to get both clear, but you shouldn't have problems.

I got the LX3 it was used only twice (so he says) and i got it for a whopping 217.00 so I think I got a fair deal. Thanks for the info fellas.
