LoonASea Posted September 14, 2007 Share Posted September 14, 2007 I have a broken bolt that goes from the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter cross over pipe ,,,the top flange doesnt seem to have a bold head to put a wrench on ,,,is this some kind of compression fitting or what??? 0 Scott K Posted September 14, 2007 Share Posted September 14, 2007 If your talking about on the converter, it is a stud that is pressed in the hole, if it is spinning then cut it off and push it out of the hole with a punch. If you are talking about the exhast manifold to y-pipe bolts, (down pipes), theses are threaded into the manifold! Hope that helped! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

0 Scott K Posted September 14, 2007 Share Posted September 14, 2007 No there shouldnt be any donut gasket in there, the mainfold should just be coned to fit the flange of the pipe.
