Ford F150 exhaust question

Question

I have a broken bolt that goes from the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter cross over pipe frown.gif,,,the top flange doesnt seem to have a bold head to put a wrench on ,,,is this some kind of compression fitting or what??? confused.gif

This is a 97 F150 4.6L

Any Info would be greatly appreciated

If your talking about on the converter, it is a stud that is pressed in the hole, if it is spinning then cut it off and push it out of the hole with a punch. If you are talking about the exhast manifold to y-pipe bolts, (down pipes), theses are threaded into the manifold! Hope that helped!

No there shouldnt be any donut gasket in there, the mainfold should just be coned to fit the flange of the pipe. If the bolt is busted off in the manifold, you will need to drill it out and install a new stud.
