Love that idyllic farm scene in No. 2, probably since I was raised in the dairy farm country of SW Wisconsin.

And, as a farm boy would expect, the horses are alert and eyeballing the photographer and the cows don't give a cud.

Well, here's another one for ya

And a couple more from today ... apart from the first image, these were all taken with the Canon 50mm f/1.4 at about f/8 to f/11. Got fancy and used my monopod and manual focus. Should do that more often -- the full size versions are crazy sharp.

After a few days with the Powershot G9, I have to say I'm disappointed with it. Am just gonna have to save for a new DSLR.
