wdgold
I have a 2000 polaris xplorer with an idle problem. I looked at the carb and cleaned it but I didn't pull it out and take the bowl off just disconnected it and cleaned it. Put new gas in it and it seemed to run better when it was really warm. When I started it the next morning I had to keep choking it off and on to keep it idling or it would quit, even after a few minutes of running. I was told by a service tech to address the carb 1st but when I looked at a troublshooting manual it said the carb would be the least likely out of all the possibilities. Any ideas? Ryan_V
I had an older yammy that did that often, what I found was that one of the plastic boots on the carb was loose and was sucking in more air. I adjusted it, tightened it and it ran much better!!
