My daughter have shot many ducks and several geese with her 870 20 gauge with 3" Federal #3 & #2 steel shot. Keep the shots at a reasonable distance and the fowl will not know they were shot with a 20 instead of a 12. laugh.gif

Carefully shoot at reasonable ranges and you'll do fine. I have taken many ducks with a twenty. But,

I am really puzzled by your statement that your 12-guage "blew out a barrel shooting trap." Jeeeze, a Beretta? Seems sorta unusual. Have you contacted them about that? What happened? confused.gif

Hey B'shooter, thats mighty fine shootin'!! Let us know how the blown barrel situation works out please. Did it just go BOOOOOM and split? Were you shooting handloads? I'm sure the factory people are going to be very seriously interested in the incident. grin.gif
