Huntin&Fishin
Is there a GPS chip that has Waterfowl Production Areas on it? My Lakemaster chip has Wildlife areas on it but not Waterfowl Production Areas.

Eric Wettschreck
I believe they are on PRIM maps.
lanyard
You might check DeLorme, the manufacturer of the Gazeteer.Unless they've changed PRIM, the DNR does not post the federal WPAs, but last I looked was 10 years ago and never looked back.WPAs are not noted on the DNR recreation compass on their web site either. 311Hemi
Is there one book that has all the prim maps in it?Also....from what I have read all WPA's require non-toxic shot...correct? This is different than WMA's......so for pheasant hunting you would need to have both available if hunting private land and WPA's?
Eric Wettschreck
If you are on a WPA you need non-toxic shot, period. You can not have lead shot in your possession. This is one of the reasons I only shoot steel now. We go from spot to spot and I really don't want a ticket for having a couple shells in my pocket. BLACKJACK
I'm with boilerguy, I just shoot steel for pheasant hunting, then I don't have to worry when I go back and forth from private land to Wildlife Mangement areas to Waterfowl Production areas. I've shot a lot of pheasants with #2 steel.
