Sorting through some shots from Sat. Burned up only an hour and luckily got some cooperative birds.

Canon 30D 100-400L IS @5.6 400mm various shutters.

Thanks Dan. I had to order another 400mm dust pumper again, I just missed that reach and flex. This copy is considerably better than my 1st one. They are supposed to be sharpest at F8,and after 150 test shots off the tripod with the timer and mirror locked, 5.6 is just as sharp as f8 so I guess i lucked out this time.

Here is some kind of warbler at 5.6 400mm.

Very nice birdies. You even have a catchlight in the eyes. It's just too bad the finch in the first photo wasn't looking at you. Other than that, they are all perfect.
