It appears to be a female "Pigeon Horntail Wood Wasp"...long thinghy stickin out the butt end designates it as the female of the species...they lay eggs in trees with that "poker"(ovipositor)...(poke it into the bark)....menacing lookin critter to say the least grin.gif...
