Peep Sight

I have a peep sight on my string with the rubber hose, the rubber hose broke a few days ago right by the sight, so I just re-attached it and now it seems to have created a slight turn in my peep sight, possibly from the hose being shorter?

I have extra hose, but how do you determine how long of a piece do you need?

huh thats wierd you'd think that it would hold it straight even better because its more taunt. may be your peep slid a little on your string. this past spring my peep and upper serving for the peep were sliding up. that will affect the alignment of you peep, because of the string twist. see if the serving looked like it moved. is your bow shooting higher or lower now? maybe just a hair?

i dont think there is any real science to figuring length, just enough to pull on the peep.

hope you get it figured out!

Been shooting alot and have not had to adjust the sights at all.

Only thing is with the shorter hose and where it is attached, it seems to be pulling the front of it to the right slightly so my window seems smaller.

you shooting a right handed bow? if so maybe the fact that your cable guard is pushed right a little its drawing your peep a bit. also is it a small diameter or large diameter peep?

i could see how with a small dia. you would notice even the slightest cocking of the peep.

anyways i would just replace the hose, but leave it long and trim it until it draws the peep up even. even though it can be a pain in the rump to get that rubber hose on.

I had problems with the peep on my new bow, it would slide up, and the tube would keep coming off, but luckily where i got it used the liquid white out to make a small line on the peep and on the string, now i can tell if it moves, and how far.

What you want is at full draw you want the tube to be taught but up until then you want some slack in the tube so it doesn't pull on the string. The easiest way is to attach it to the peep and tie it off on the cable. Draw the bow and see when it starts to pull the tube tight. Hope that makes sense...
