Northlander
Northlands buckshot rattle spoons in Perch or glow/shiner and the Blue Fox Tingler, either silver/orange or silver/yellow. Jigging raps and little cleos too.
WallEYES
SSENDEK I have fished the big pond for over 30 years and nothing has yet to produce better than the N. Land buckshot rattle spoon in recent years, in natural colors, at first ice. It's best to have another or two people with you when searching for fish. Fish prime late fall areas that produce fish before ice up. Drill 10-20 holes in prime areas staying away from the crowds. One person use a swimming/ aggresive lure such as a Nils shad or Rapala jigging minnow and another person using a spoon such as a buckshot rattle spoon or a pimple or rocker minnow and jig behind you in the same holes. You will be amazed that fish are caught in the same holes as you partner(s). The swimming lures using pick out the aggresive fish and the spoons in the same holes pick out neutral fish. For your negative fish, set up a few of T-BONES Rock&REELS and deadstick in the middle of the areas you are targeting. I usually don't have any problem icing walleyes using this method., you just need a good fishing partner that can compliment your fishing needs........Goot Luck! Poutmaster
I love the one two puch of a Buckshot Rattler to bring them in and a red glow Neon Lite on my set line. The Buckshot calls them in, and the Neon line brings them up the hole!
Guest
All good suggestions for sure. I would add consider the Salmo Chubby Darter in Hot Perch, Gold/Org, and Dace. They offer very good search and attraction characteristics for many types of game fish. You can see colours and sizes offered in the Chubby Darter line here, plus grab a tip or two.http://ed-carlson.fishingbuddy.com/?id=18&page=Salmo%20Chubby%20Darter%20*HOT*------------------Backwater Eddy..><sUMo>Backwater Guiding"Ed on the RED"(701)-281-2300[email protected] http://ed-carlson.fishingbuddy.com[This message has been edited by Backwater Eddy (edited 12-01-2002).]
mistermom
I agree with BW Eddy! I had real good results last year with the Salmo Chubby Darter. I also had real good luck with a plain hook/red bead or red hook/no bead or a glow bead. Good luck.mm
Guest
Buckshot Rattle spoons, flutter spoons, flyers, kastmasters, swimmin raps, different color and sizes of lead head jigs.Good Fishin, Matt.
Flick
The smallest jigging rap there is, I think size #3. In rainbow trout pattern. Works great but make sure you put a bigger treble on or you'll lose lots of fish.
mudman
I LOVE hearing what everybodys using!! I will make my fishing much easier when it get tough. I think the next best thing would be for all of you to sit in the same area together and keep telling everybody what your doing and where. that is the best way to keep the bite on for a long time!!
