im lookin for a lake in south east minnesota with some good bass and musky fishing i live in rochester and want to take a day trip but dont want to drive to wisconson where i usually fish ...any ideas would be great! thanks

I've also heard that you can catch them below the Lake Zumbro dam in the fall.

Yep, french is a really good muskie lake. The bass are there in numbers, but quality isnt great. Usually.

French is starting to turn on a bit, and if your interested the Muskie Inc chapter meets the second wed of every month at the Eagles in Owatonna, there's a few guys that can give you some invaluable info on this lake at the meeting, good luck.

They are also in Lake Zumbro above the dam, but hard to find I hear.
