Thanks Gary. Saturday wasn't a good one for me. Out of 6 channels or so in the boat none were caught by me. thats okay though. I might fish close to home tonight for a lil' bit after dinner with the fam. Hopefully have something to post tommorrow.

Catch any fish last night?

I went out from 9-10:45 on a short solo mission close to home. Tossed out large chunks of cut sucker. Something small was pecking at my bait for a while but wouldn't take, or couldn't take it. There was a lot of baitfish in the area near the flow pouring into the river. Appeared to be large schools of emeralds and a few shad. Didn't end up with anything. Went home to put down a couple premiums. Would've stayed longer but the mosquitos were horrible.

Can't blame you for that...I was having that same issue on Sunday with something pecking on our chunks of cutbait. I had my brother in law downsize his bait a little and as soon as he casted out...he immediately had a small channel on.

If I was gonna catch anything last night I wanted something with size. I wanted to avoid sheepshead and small channels if I could. Downsizing would have probably helped me catch something though.

Likewise...have you seen that big fat goose egg staring me in the face? Hence why I had the brother in law downsize his.

I need a real money fish to put me back up there...either a bigger flathead or channel....I would assume anything I catch will be an upgrade from the tiny flathead I have on the board.
