Early to mid-December recommendations?

I'd like to plan a bachelor party ice fishing trip in early December. Although we'd love to stay in a sleeper, I'm thinking that is kind of early for a sleeper, unless it is on a small lake. In any case, we know we will probably be going far north, and probably be on smaller waters.

Anyone have any recommendations on a lake/resort thats good for early season? Walleye, northern, crappie - they all work for us.

I have been out on low early december the last few years. cant beat the fishing there.

I second LOW, great fishing and you can normally get on in early December.

December is typically one of the hottest bites during the hard water season.

If you're looking for numbers go to LOW if you're looking at a pretty sure shot at most of the party picking up a trophy walleye(s) then it's definitely the Red as Catmendo states.

Everyone owes themselves at least one trip in their lifetime to icefish those trophy eyes on the Manitoba Red River in early December. It's so close to LOW anyway.
