Not that I'm complaining, but what could I have done differently?

Was out fishing a small metro lake yesterday afternoon for walleyes. Was marking fish between 15-22' on an inside corner with a fairly steep break. Figured it had walleye written all over it. Lindy rig with crawlers and leeches. Everytime I would come up the break I would get a fish, bass after bass after bass. Nice ones too, biggest one was over 5# on the scale.

Granted they're fun to catch but I'm not really much of a bass guy. This is a stocked lake, weedline comes out to about 14-15 feet, wasn't really marking any fish further out than 22'. Probably should have tried working some other areas but it seemed perfect. Any thoughts on where or what I could have done differently to find the walleyes?

My first guess is that you are fishing way too deep. If possible, look in the 1 - 6' range of any area that may be holding baitfish.

are you generally just throwing or trolling cranks in these areas right now?

Casting only. I like to keep the disruption down to a minimum on the baitfish. The tighter the bait stays schooled together, the better off you'll be. Trolling just acts as a plow and separates and disperses too much of a good thing.
