Lowrance/Eagle repair

i have a Eagle Cuda 242 that is just out of warranty. I only used it twice and now it won't read depth. I thought it was a bad pin in the trasducer cable so I bought a new transducer but still the same. Is there a place close to the metro besides Lowrance that can look at these? I only use it in the front of my boat when my son is with and don't want to spend much more on the cheap little thing.

I talked to them but all they could do was sell me a transducer. I know there is a guy supposedly by Brainerd but don't have his info. Thought maybe there would be someone closer.

Wish I could help but the only other ideas I have about repair would be to call Reeds and see if they know about the guy in Brainerd.

hsolist might be an option. Since you have a new transducer, maybe you could get lucky and find a deal on a head unit that works with the transducer. Might not fit too good with your plan of not spending a lot more money on it though.

Thanks for the ideas. On hsolist they are going as much or more than the local stores. It amazes me what people will pay for some items.

Lowrance emailed me today and said they would cover the unit under warranty. For being 13 months old, I have to give a hats off to them.

I've always felt Lowrance/Eagle have a pretty good customer service. Glad to hear they're taking care of you.
