Skinny water success

Well..kind of.

We weren't skunked and we made it home,so I guess that is a success.

Hooked up with a fellow BPCL'er last night for a long night of bumping logs, I'm glad that was the only thing we were bumping.........I think crazy.gif

We were near Harvey Lee's favorite spot, you know the one he won't go to again this year grin.gif

Funny thing is that we had a 16ft boat with a 60hp/prop.

I guess when you don't care, you don't care.

Caught a bunch of big fat channels and a flat to go with it.

The fish are still on a bite, the only thing you need to ask yourself is, "Are you feeling lucky.......well are you?"

We only hit about 7 or 8 logs

in the first mile.

River fishing, the way it was meant to be cool.gif

AH, I do know that spot. You can have the skinny water there. Chicken, YES.

After the first mile she wasnt to bad but the first mile is skinny at best. Last time I really shined up my prop pretty good. With the last rain, just maybe it will come up a few inches.

I wouldn't hold your breath. We need a real good fast rain for any runoff to occur.

We were up all night with the McLeod County Relay for Life. It was good to have a set of quality raingear, especially starting about 3:30 a.m.

You ran into some fat ones, eh? I'm gonna prolly have to get out sometime this week. Not sure when. Took the pontoon out on the resovoir in Hutchinson upstream from the dam. It was shallow there too! Deepest I saw was 8 feet but it was a tiny hole. Lots of <3 feet stuff.
