Anyone visit the new bear center in Ely yet?

Heard some good and some bad about Ely's newest tourist offering, wondering if anyone heres got anything to say about it?

Ive yet to make the trip to it, been too busy this summer..

HaHa, just drove past it about 2 hours ago on the way back home from the Boundary Waters. Others in my group weren't much for seeing what is was about so i didn't get too check it out. Is it like a store/gift shop? or more like a information center?

I heard its $8 admission and its so so.Guess they have the usual donated inventory to sell..

Theres a meeting the 14th 7.30 pm I think its at the eagles nest. Heard its about the locals opinion of the center and the leagle issues. I think it will be worth the drive up to see the center and then go to the meeting...
