Metro Muskie

Got a 44" on Bald Eagle yesterday - had several other hits and a follow. They were really active from about sun-up until about 8AM. Very shallow scuzzy weeds seemed to be where we saw most fo them.

very nice fish. There's some very nice skies in BE and they've been pretty active, or at least that's what I've found. I want to get out there more often, but I got T-boned this last weekend by some (Contact Us Please) driving through a red light on my way home. Anyone wanting to try out BE, let me know, and I'll help out any way I can.

nice fish hugobox. i'm looking to get out on either BE or WBL this weekend, does anyone wnat to offer up any suggestions? wbl has been really slow for me this year, i've been on it about 5 times, and haven't even put the hooks into one. I haven't fished BE too much in the past, so I really don't know where to begin. Or what type of pattern the fish seem to be using. anything would help.

I'd second the orange/black suggestion. The three biggest fish on BE last year all came on Orange and Black Jackpots. This year it was a firetiger DOC. Most of the action has been in thick weeds or better yet, pockets in the thick weeds. I've tried at night about 3 times and haven't done anything - not sure if the scuzzy green lake is the reason or if its just not a night lake. I missed last weekend totally - I had the enviable task of cleaning puke out of my backseat from kids (gotta love stomach flu). I'm most likely going to be out there this coming Saturday. I drive a green 18 foot Alumacaraft Tourney Pro so if you see an ugly guy standing up on the bow next to the Minnkota, bang a lure off the side of my boat and say hi.

Also, I did fish West Rush last Friday and the scum and algea is thick enough to walk on. I had one follow but didn't even see it until the tail swished by as it was turning away from the figure 8.

I was out on tonka friday night. We managed a couple 30" pike and a 48" muskie. It had been a couple weeks since I had gotten out there. We seem to at least see fish everytime and catching something every other time we go out this summer.

Wow, I'd just like to catch one this fall =) Any ideas for Muskies with this cold rainy weather the last week here?

Maybe I'll see you out there, I'll be hitting it a bunch from now til ice up, I'm in a beige 16' polar kraft.
