Jaypo
I was looking at a Triton 190 FS and a Reata 180 today. Both look great, but which will alow a more stable fishing hull? I like the bow area on the triton, but the sales rep pushed the Ranger saying it is a more stable boat when fishing ever though it is shallower. Young kids...speed is down the list a ways. Any thoughts or recommendations beyond brand loyalty?
PerchJerker
I own a Ranger and like it so there's my brand loyalty.I've been in Rangers, Skeeters and Tritons. All are nice boats. I think Ranger is the most stable and smoothest riding hull of them all, it's also the slowest. That's a general statement, but assuming you're looking at comparable types of hull designs and the same length and beam, I think it will hold true. sparkyaber
Jaypo- I have a Triton FS 190 that you are more than welcome to come out and take a test run on. From the reseach that I did, these two boats are very similar. If you are comparing the FS 190 to the reata 180, it isn't quite fair, with the FS 190 being bigger and able to hold a 200 HP motor. The boats have a similar layout, and have the same basic design. If you want an on the water run with the triton, you can get a hold of me at [email protected]. eyepatrol
I've got a question: How can someone stand to sit so low in the FS190 or 180/190/210 Reata? Man those seats are L-O-W! I'd be afraid to hit a wave....might knock out some teeth with my knees.

The fs 190 and the reata 180,190,210 are based on a bass boat, they sit low and run fast just like a bass boat, just take away some casting deck, and add a few seats.....tada, fish and ski's.
