Try Too Fish
Anyone on FM have a Troll Master Control on there kicker? Is it what you expected? Does it have Infinite speed control? Thanks
jstirewalt
Try to Fish:I have a troll master - Pro Model - on my T8. I wouldn't have another setup with out it. The speed adjustment allows you to fine tune the speed, catch a fish and go to idle mode, and with a push of a button, be right back at the desired speed. I would highly recommend it.Jeff
PDOGG
I just got mine from UPS today and hope to get it put on tonight and use it this weekend I'll let you know after that. But from what I've heard people that have them wouldn't be without them.
Try Too Fish
Thanks for the info. I ordered one yesterday, Hopefully will try it out this weekend!
PerchJerker
If I had a remote control kicker I would have a Trollmaster for sure. I've always had tiller controlled kickers though and haven't felt the need for a Trollmaster - have considered them at times and even thought about buying one (and have a friend on their pro staff that is trying to get me to take one at his price) but for now I'm happy with the way my boat's set up. Good luck with your new Trollmasters and report back after you've used them.
Try Too Fish
Troll-master report! Well I received it fast. Installation was easy except for threading the control wire to the dash.Had the boat out yesterday, AND it MOST definitely gives you more rpm and speed control on a kicker with remote shift and throttle.Well worth the 250 bucks! I don't think there would be much advantage on a tiller kicker.
PDOGG
Does yours open the throttle all the way? Mine doesn't quite get to full throttle on my pro kicker just wondering if that was normal not really a big deal.
PerchJerker
Sounds good, just like it's supposed to!
Try Too Fish
Mine does go to wide open. I also have the pro kicker. Did you use the new throttle rod that came with?If so it must be that an adjustment is needed to either the cable or the rod or both! When you put the new rod on with the longer eye the rod needs to be pushed all the way foward before tightening the screw! The longer eye is what allows it too go too Max full throttle!Hope this helps! PDOGG
Yes I tried the new throttle rod. It looks to me like the plastic wheel on the motor could be just a little bie bigger around and that would do the trick. Maybe I got the wrong kit thats why I was wondering if yours opened all the way. I dont really want to take it all back out so I think I'll call them and see if it is just that wheel and maybe they can send a new one. thanks for the help. Also is your motor an '06 if so which kit # did you get if you know off hand?
Try Too Fish
Mine is also a 06. The kit i got was recommended by them and if i remember right it was a tm212d, But i will check and reply if this is not right! The little arm that comes off the actuator is adjustable for position by taking the phillips screw out and changing the arm position on the plastic spline! I got the Pro II model. Is that what you got? There are 2 or 3 different models!Good luck!
Shwangman
Can I ask you guys, where you ordered your units from or can you purchase them at sporting goods stores?? I have a old 7.5 Mercury that I run and while fishing for eyes in wind, it can get a little tricky running the motor and fishing. Thanks .
Try Too Fish
I got mine direct from Troll Master. I cant post a link but if you do a search for them, there web page should be one of your hits. They are in Oregon or Idaho, Washington state area if i remember right! There is some usefull info there as well!
LovenLifeGuy
I picked mine up at cabelas
HOF#13
The little motor unit your are referring to is simply a remote control steering servo most ofter used for RC cars. I have a troll master on my kicker, and I also race RC cars, and they are the exact same. So, if you need a bigger attachment for your servo, any hobby store that deals with RC cars should have them. Should be cheaper than going through Troll Master.
PDOGG
I ordered mine through cabelas and its the same model and number as yours. I moved that arm to the farthest out setting and that did help but it still does not quite reach full throttle. I guess it's not really a big deal I don't troll that fast anyways they just must have packaged mine wrong.

Shwangman
Thanks guys, I will look for a hobby shop that sell RC cars first before I go on, I have no problem saving a buck
Try Too Fish
I don't think the race car servo will save you much if you need the whole kit. You will still need to buy throttle rods, cables, and control box and what ever else your installation will need. Might be a viable option for just replacing the servo!
