Bobb-o
had a debate going aboot whether or not it is excessively hard on a 50 horse to take it down to trolling speeds, not too worried aboot noise, just wondering if this is causing excessive wear on the outboard. 0 iffy
I'd say no, its easier on an engine to run at low rpm rather than high.
0 Scott K
I have a 115 yam, it trolls 75% of the time, no problems with it.
0 Milkdud
Is it a four stroke? If so should be no problem. I have a 90HP Johnson 2 stroke and troll plugs with it with no problems but when I am done trolling I open it up for awhile to prevent it from gumming up.
