irishwalleye
I want to tie my own spinners and crawler harnesses.any suggestions on a line to use? and has anybody used the quick-change clevis' that I have seen?or am I just better off buying the pre-tied rigs? 0 MasterClear
Trilene XT, Maxima and Segar Fluorocarbon are all good. I usually use 15# test. The quick change clevis are an advantage while fishing. I find myself changing sizes and colors of blades more often with them.
0 Northlander
Your much better tieing your own spinner rigs. Cheaper in the long run and you get exactly what ya want. I tie my rigs with 10 or 12# Trilene XT. Once you get the hang of the snell knots you can make them in a few minutes. Ya the initial investment in all the components may look pricey but you will save in the long run. I also tie all my spinners with the quick exchange clevises. They are better on your lines and you can change out colors and sizes without ever cutting anything.
