We are going to the superior hiking trail in a few weeks I have never been there but there is a HSOforum. There is like two hundred miles of trails starting in two harbors to the canadian border and camp sites all along.

The superior hiking trail has some amazing areas. Are there any specific things (10+ miles in, trout fishing, etc etc.) you are looking for? There are also some trails up further north like the border route trail, etc.

fishermn, we are going on the superior trail in a few weeks. It is going to be a small trial run for heading out west this fall. What part of the trail would you consider the most difficult. looking for a lot of elevation changes if there are any areas like that, thanks.

The route from Beaver Bay to HWY 1 through Tettegouche has to

be one of the toughest hikes I have been on. Elevation changes are huge and some fantastic views along Bear & Bean lake. The fishing is great to. They stock trout in those lakes by plane drops. actually witnessed a drop many years ago.

Superior hiking Trail does have a great HSOforum, just google

for it. some great pictures to. grin.gif
