I am going to be picking up a boat in the fairly near future and wanted to hear opinions on the E-Tec's vs other mfg's. I have heard very good thing about them from a few people I know that have run them for a year or two...

If you do a search there have been other discussion on them.....maybe check out the boat and motor forum.

My dad has one (40 HP) and it has been great. I am going to get one hopefully next summer (150hp) when I purchase a new boat.

I've heard good things, but they seem to be much heavier than the 4 stroke yammies. At least in the lower HP's.
