July - August Walleye Tournaments

The Minnesota Walleye Trail will be on the Whitefish Chain on July 8th, and on the Mississippi (Pool 4) on August 12th. We have a few openings in both events.

6th Anual Hawg Walleye Contest July 28th and 29th on Island Lake North of Duluth. Only $10 to enter and $1000 to biggest walleye caught.

This is a fun little tourney/contest and all proceeds go to the Boyscouts in the area.

Something a little closer to your area would the the WWA tournament on Diamond Lake near Willmar on the 25th of August. I cant remember the exact details but I believe it was $30 to enter. This will be the third year of the tournament and it is a fun and low key environment with some local sticks. For more info see the willmar forum and email walleyeking#8.

FLW League Tournament on Bemidji July 21. $300 for boater $150 for co-angler.Payout is $7000 for boater and $3500 for co-angler if tourney fills.

3rd Annual Diamond Lake Walleye Tournament

scheduled for August 25th

Two person teams, $25 entry fee per team, 100% payout

Tournament time is 7:00am-2:00pm

Southwest Minnesota Fishing Club is putting on the King Turkey Day Walleye Tournament on July 28 on Lake Okabena at Sunset Park on the southwest end of the lake in Worthington. Check in starts at 6am and shotgun start at 7:30am with weigh in at 3pm.

2nd-400

3rd-300

4th-200

5th-125

6th-75

7th-10th- 50

Based on 50 entries at 80% payback.
