Plants dieing

I started a vegetable garden this year. I pulled the grass built a fence and bought 2 yards of compost and put about 10 lb of 14-0-14 general fertilizer in (all done about 3 weeks ago). Garden is about 2500 square feet and has strickly vegetables along with marigolds for rabbit and pest control. I am noticing that some of the plants are not doing well and others are doing great. The pic below is of a red bell pepper plant. Any idea why the plant is dieing? I am seeing this on some of the tomato plants, cilantro, beans that were planted from seed and on most of the pepper plants. Any ideas on how or what to do to fix this. I bought some vegetable preen and green but have not used it yet till I know what is going on.

Thanks and that is good news. Fertilizer bag says to do every two weeks but I will wait. Could be why the carrots and onions never came up. Any way to tell when to put more fertilizer down?

I'd wait till there flowering, then low nitrogen, high phos,Sounds like your soil is probably good and needs very little help.use 1/2 of what label calls for.I think most ferts.are labled for grass needs.Or I use Mirclegrow & epsome salt.after spring fert. laugh.gif
