Pinpoint Depth Finder

Anybody have any experience with these?

I am looking at buying a boat and one of these come with it.

What are some of the pros and cons?

I don't know what model it is yet.

I think all the Pinpoint's got thrown overboard. My buddy had one. The depth finder worker fine, but the bow mount that it was supposed to control was another matter. He used the combo for a couple of years and sold it opting for a MinnKota and a Lowance.

I think the Pinpoint stuff is great - when it works.

If it breaks (as in the case of my older Pinpoint trolling motor) be ready to buy something else because repair is not economically viable.

Thanks guys....He has it just set-up as a depth-finder, so I think I should be OK

I have 2 Pinpoint depth finders on my Warrior. I have had very good luck with them.
