Trolling motor ?

Anybody have any ideas how a guy can lock a troling motor to its mount. Its a minnkota with the little wing nut that holds it in place. I live in an apartment and store the boat in the basement which from time to time i hear about something getting stolen, aslo i am tired of taking it of and putting it away each time i use the boat. thanks!

By your description I assume you have MinnKota's quick release system. You should find a small hole in the rear right corner of the unit where you can insert a padlock so the motor can't be slid out of the bracket.

Yep, put a padlock on the mount. You might need to drill a bigger hole to get a good lock on it.
