Sturgeon Fishing

Going to be in Spokane Washington for a week in July. Would like info about sturgeon fishing. How far is good sturgeon fishing from Spokane and any info on area guides. Thanks, Jim

There are fish in the Kootenay River but I'm not sure if any guides fish them. The best know areas are Hell's Canyon south of Lewiston,ID or the Columbia Rivers sw of Spokane.

just got back .its worth the drive to go to the portland area.the most incredible fishing ever.we got 10 oversize fish with 2 opprox..9ft!!!if int.let me know ill hook u up with our guide .hes a great guy and really knows his stuff!

I've done 3 trips for those big boys and there is nothing like them. You can actually catch over a TON of fish. Fun stuff

Heading out to the Columbia this weekend to tangle with the 400+ lb white sturgeon. Can't wait to get a tired forearm again.

Lots of good guides out there and I cant really say I heard of any bad ones that have been around for any length of time. I Lived in the portland area for the last 2.5 years and fished sturgeon and salmon often, mostly salmon. There is a good site to check out for fishing info and guides called i fish. Worth reading through if your heading out there.
