confused.gifBrian, What is the deal? I know there are a hand full of fishermen out there that still fish Thompson. smirk.gif Will you be fishing the tourney at Thompson this up coming weekend? It should be a lot of fun.

I will be going up on Thursday night to prefish Friday B4 the tourney.

I haven't heard to much about the fishing except for the usual, on one day, off the next.

If anyone out there that isn't fishing the tourney would like to pass on any info, I would be much abliged. grin.gif

Thanks for the help guys! A little info for some. wink.gif

One thing to add, We just cleaned house at Platte this weekend. South past the pump house a little 21-23' plain hook and anything you could feed them. Early-Early morning bite the best.

Perchman, any suggestions for fishin around Omaha? I am living in North Omaha for the summer and it is my first summer out of MN, needless to say I am going nuts I would like to figure something out to take the edge off on the weekends. I would really like to get into some catfishin I hear about, although I am used to 100% walleye. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Percherman! Where is the pump house? I seem to remember a pump house of some sort, south of the bridge on the east side of the river, but I can't recall how far south it was.

Thanks! grin.gif

Wad: The Pumphouse is 5 miles south of Platte Creek on the east side. I have never payed any attention to the miles on my GPS to see how far the Bridge is from P/C.

The last news I heard was there was a good bite going on down by Peas Creek. My dad was there yesterday picking up his trailer to pack up all his earthly belongings from S/F and move up there for the summer. Lucky bugger!!

Well that's the latest.

Great Friends,Great fishing=Great Memories

Thanks Percherman. I never made if nearly that far south. In fact, I don't think we went more than 2 or 3 miles south of Dock 44. We went 10 - 15 miles north on Saturday, but that didn't pan out.

We did however end up finding fish and earning 5th place in the tournament, so we didn't do too bad grin.gif

Wadinator-Great you guys got 5th. Im one of the Jason and Jason team. We managed our 6 fish on Sunday which helped us beat Brad, thats what really mattered. We took your advice and pulled raps. Thanks.

This is a little late, sorry...We fished it a couple of weeks ago. It was slow then. Fish were really shallow. The lake levels are good to go. You could actually tie up to the dock if need be, although I wouldn't. Too much exposed metal for my aluminum boat for my taste. We fished a small time tournament. The winner caught one fish to beat the 15 boat field. 7lbs 10oz. Nice walleye. Anyone else have any reports to add to keep this going?

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
