LOTW- Whitefish and Sabaskong ice out questions

What's the word on ice up there? Is it out yet? If so, when did it happen? We always go up for an early season trip in May for Lake trout. I assume lake levels are still low.

I know that sabaskong is out and I am sure whitefish will be out also. The weather has been nice up there. The water is about what is was last fall by the looks of it. I will know more next week when I am back up there.

Just got back from Morson. Opened up our place. Last year we put in a new dock. Top was to be 24" above normal water level. Yesterday it measured 58" above the water. Neighbors won't be able to hook up their floaters because of the low water. We need rain.

That's probably another foot lower than it was last year! The lack of snow and rain are really doing a number up there.

Ice went out of Whitefish Saturday, May 5th. I was out on Thursday and Friday and I had to alter my plans due to ice. Fishing was dead...didn't mark a fish.
