Tahoe Troubles help

Ufatz

Question

Tahoe is a 1999. Guy at dealership says AC not work because all the collant has leaked out through rear lines-to rear AX. They tell me $720 to repair it...new lines and labor. I said "can't we just cap it off? I don't use rear air." They say no. Where else can I take it? Love the Tahoe....its much better than the new ones in snow etc. frown.gif

I think they may be correct. The only way to "cap" off the lines would be to replace the lines up front to a non rear air configuration which would probably amout to the same money. Then they would have to make sure to correct all of the capacities for the smaller system.

There is somebody you can call to get a second opinion. The place is called Dealer Automotive Services. They do A/C add ons, conversions, and custom install.
