Story of the terminator perch

Tues night a bud and I found a few perch for the pan, we had biked into a spot and ended up with 6 keepers. We get done fishing at about 8:15, grap our stringer of perch and head home. Back at the truck I tell him to take those fish home(cuz I caught them all ) if he wants and he's like, sure! Anyways, he must have forgot and fast forward the next morning at 9am. I'm ready for work but figure I'll take my rods out of the truck - and lo and behold there are the perch still in the bed of the truck. Thank goodness it was cool that night. I ran them back inside, downstairs to my utility sink and ran some cold water in. I thought I saw movement on one and eventually he actually flopped. I'm thinking nerves or something. Well I get home at 5:30 and that bugger is alive and well! I had a hard time catching him in that tub! I felt bad slicin him up since he was such a trooper. But anyways, 12 hours out of water and he made er - almost!

I had 6 crappies in a bucket of snow for at least 18 hours and they spent a few hours on the ice before then, went to clean them and they were all still alive and fresh. Weird.

You have to be careful eating fish like that.

I hear the fillets of those terminator fish can survive chewing and digestion. If you're not careful you'll have an un dead fish fillet living inside you and it will want out one way or another.
