Bassboy1645
Today I installed my battery after having it in storage all winter. I charged it up and hooked everythign up. Power trim, tilt, elc start, depthfinder, radio work. Bilage, livewell, and night running/navigation lights dont work. I thought this was rather odd being as they all worked when I put it away this fall. Fuses looked good. The battery is questionable becasue the auto charger says its faulty half the time and it dosent hold a charge but It does so I dont know the deal with that. The wiring looks kind of old but Im thinking new connectors and clean the ends. Any ideas??
big musk411
I would check the ground wire. Possibly you have two and your stuff that works goes to one and the stuff that doesn't goes to the other. Try adding some distilled water to your battery if you havent already.

LoonASea
Check to make sure ALL wiring is cleaned up and connected ,,,I put my battery in the other day in less then good light and missed a negative wire with similar results ,,,every thing is working now ,,,a wire brush or some sandpaper will help clean the connections Randoid
dkf
Yep, check all the wireing. If you have any crimp on connectors in your boat wireing get rid of them and solder and shrink tube new connectors on. A very tiny amount of corrosion can mean the difference between working and not working. Its also a good idea to charge your battery peiodically over the winter to keep the charge up. Bassboy1645
hmm thanks guys will check when I get time...All of my wiring on the boat is connectors. Seems like soder and shrink tube is the way to go on everything. Are pig tails better than connectors just out of curiosity??
