Meaney
Tonight on the National Geographic Channel, 8pm central. A Man Among Wolves. Looks like it should be a very interesting program, I personally will like it since I have such an interest in wolves and how they live as a pack. check it out tonight and let me know what you thought of it.Bryan
DOC33
I saw this on 20/20 the other night, very interesting. The guy doesn't only live amongst the wolves, he is a part of the pack, alpha male if I remember correctly. He took a large chunk of liver, cooked it, wrapped it in plastic and placed it inside of a carcass they used to feed the wolf pack. when the pack was eating at the carcass he pulled out his chunk of liver and ate it while showing his dominance over others in the pack. Growling, snarling, chasing the wolves away. It was amazing to see the wolves be submissive and licking his face as he snarled at them. They had another naturalist who didn't necessarily agree with what he was doing, but was extremely impressed with how he did it.Thanks for reminding me, I would have fogotten to watch tonight. DOC33
It was very interesting. The guy raised three wolves from pups and pretty much tought them everything they would learn in an actual wolf pack. I think they said he had spent 2 yrs with them, not being away from them for more than a couple of hours. Then he had to leave for an extended period of time and when he came back, he was no longer Alpha male. The guy gave up a family to spend his life with wolves, it takes allsorts I guess. Valv
Quote: Then he had to leave for an extended period of time and when he came back, he was no longer Alpha male. I wonder how he found that out ?? Ouch that definitely would hurt.Joking aside, I saw part of the show too it was very interesting. It definitely takes a special person to get into something like that. Black_Bay
Special for sure. This guy reminds me of the grizzly guy that pretended he was a biologist and was "studying" the bears. What a crock.
