Intruder 175

Who makes this motor? I am shopping around for used boats and found a 2002 Pro V with this motor and I cannot find any info on it.

Not sure ... but I thought Evinrude made the Intruder???

I was figuring Evinrude, It might be a older motor on a 2002 boat, all i could find for Evinrude was the FICHT motors in that year.

I've got a buddy with one. It's an Evinrude VRO. His is a '92. Nice motor.

The Evinrude Intruder 175 is a great motor and was built good and very reliable. I think the reason the 2002 your looking at has an older 175 on it is in 2002 Evinrude was having problems with the Ficts as well as having $$$ trouble. When my cousin bought a new boat in 2001 he was advised by the dealer to keep his 150 Intruder and tranfer it to his new boat for those resons.

Its a great motor. Hard on gas though.
