Team Format Contest

From feedback here and some private offline discussions, I've decided to make this a season long contest. Due to other leagues, tournies, and what not, trying to keep all this straight will be hard. Also this will make it easier for the guys that aren't able to put a bunch of time in.

So season long it is.

Now, I do want to have bonus points for the largest fish. I want it to be significant, but not overkill.

So the bonus points will be for each species. So if one team catches the largest flat and channel they will receive the maximum bonus points.

1st 30pts

2nd 20pts

3rd 10pts

The season concept will be a bit easier as the control item goes, and also less math

If all goes well, maybe I'll try a different format next year.

Hopefully this doesn't disappoint anyone.

Ok, so let me know if I am understanding this correct. Each person gets to turn in one channel and one flat for the season?

Ony one will count.

You will enter your first one (your biggest as of then) then you will be able to enter as many fish as you like after that as long as they are greater then 5 inches (total length + girth) then your previous fish.

Example, you catch a 36x20 flathead 56" total. You enter that fish which will count as 56pts. Then next one you enter will have to be at least 61" total. Which will then bump your score up to 61pts.

This is something I might be interested in as well. Put me on the maybe list. Realistically, I could fish 3 - 5 times this summer. Maybe more, if I really started to tie into a few flatties.

At this point we have enough for 6 full teams of 4, so hopefully 3 more will come forward in the next few days.

if you NEED a few more to round out teams, ill join in but dont expect much as i only get out about once a week and usually from shore, although a boat may be in my future as i am getting some $ from the insurance co. after i crashed my car. this is only if you need me to fill a team, thought i think it'd be fun and i would be mad if i get into even a couple decent fish and i wasnt in the contest.

yep, in fact I know of two shore fishermen I would LOVE to have on my team, one of which may have caught his biggest fish of the year already

we are up to 27, we really need one more guys. As soon as that happens (hopefully sooner then later). I will close the entry period and pick teams. Stay tuned.
