kunk
Does anyone know where I would go to have an old outboard appraised? I believe it's a 1911. The starter is a crank on the top that you grab and spin with your hand (making sure the handle doesn't get your knuckles when it fires). The battery box is separate with a 3 wire hookup. One to the magneto, one to the spark plug(which came out of a model T), and a ground to the frame. The cooling hose runs outside the motor and has been replaced with a piece of garden hose. For reverse you twist the tiller handle and the shaft spins 180*. Last run in the late 60's. It was my dad's first outboard and I used to run it for kicks when I was younger. Got lots of waves from the old timers.

New Yankee
COOL! No idea what it's worth, but I'd betcha a resort would pay a pretty nifty price for a bar ornament!
