Nice article, well written and I love the fact that Minnesota is getting some good pr for Muskies.

Personally I think that the chance at a truly huge fish is just a (small) added bonus to Mille Lacs. IMO it is just plain a lot of fun to fish. The two things that I love to do the most is cast weedbeds and rocks and Mille Lacs has plenty of opportunities. I am not a big troller but Mille Lacs has some great oppotunities for the guys who are.

Last October was my first time out there and it was a blast. But I am not even considering it this year because the crowds just don't interest me. I would rather fish one of the many other lakes that are holding quality fish and less boat traffic.

But for the guys that are going to be out there, good luck, it should be a crazy summer and I wouldn't be surprised if that state record was to come as early as July. (out of Bemidji when I catch it )
