Yamaha oil reservoir/tank

I have a 1999 Yamaha 90hp two stroke and the oil reservoir/tank has a small cap with wires coming out of it on the back side of the tank. There is oil that leaks out of that cap. Any ideas as to a fix to prevent that from happening. Thanks in advance.

I don't have one here at this moment, so I forgot how they are built, but you wight want to use some automotive silicone sealant, like Blue RTV or anything that is oil resistant

Check and clean the terminals. I had a friend that had this happen on his oil injected Yamaha and it was dirty terminals. His was a 225 though so it may be different.
