rich4walleyes
I have been told by a very good source that Dale Jr will becoming to Cedar Lake Speedway this July. He will not be racing on the dirt but he will be there to sign autographs and talk to people. I believe the date is going to be July 12. Should be a good time. Wish he was going to race. That would be something to see!!!
RobertELee
That place is going to be packed!
JohnMickish
Sounds just like what Gordon and Kenseth have done in the past. If it's the same you have to pay X amount (I believe it was around $100) to get in and you get something like 5 seconds to say hi.
Sifty
It's great that these guy's are able to do this kind of think.I know they get paid but it is still nice to see them out promoting the small tracks.Sifty
JohnMickish
It really is a great thing, remember when Gordon was there last year he gave a kid that had some medical trouble something. It was all over the news.I do think that some of the money goes to a good cause but for me nobody is important enough that I have to pay just to shake their hand. Nobody. Obviously some people do feel that it is worth it.
Rippinlip
I was there last year when Gordo was there, I was pitting for my brother-in-law though. It was cool to see a big name NEXTEL racer at a small track. My daughters got to see him up close when he made a lap around the track in the back of a pick-up truck. We race Sprints and we do get to meet such pros as Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Donny Schaatz. 2 years ago we got to meet Tony Stewart when he made a surprise visit to Cedar Lake when he came to watch his car perform. For those that cannot get away to see the Nextel boys race, I would HIGHLY recommend going to see a World of Outlaws Sprintcar race. They do frequent local tracks and it is professional racing. polarsusd81
I will second that World of Outlaws recommendation. They are simply amazing. I watched a few of those races in the south.
ricbak
Cedar Lake Speedway is just across the river from Stillwater and just past Somerset for those not familar with this track, these guys who promote Cedar really do a great job getting a wide variety of organizations and famous drivers in there for the specials. If they can get Dale Jr. to show up it would be a big draw i'm sure, but the sprints really put on a show be-it the outlaws , IRA, or the ASCS 360's on this 1/4 mile bullring. Eric Wettschreck
The racing at Cedar Lake actually got better when they dumped world of outlaws and joined forces with the DTRA. Now the big events, (Masters and USA Nationals) are opens, and wooooooooo hooooooooooo awesome racing.
